At least 50 people have been injured and many feared killed in a fire at a multi-storey garment factory near the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, police say.
Many people remain trapped in the building and are having to jump to safety, seriously injuring themselves in the process, police told the BBC.
The fire broke out in a factory in the Ashulia industrial zone on the outskirts of Dhaka.
The army has joined the rescue operation.
Bangladesh has about 4,000 garment factories that export more than $10bn (£6bn) worth of products a year, mainly to the US and Europe.
