Coastguard rescue teams from Dover and Ramsgate were called to the scene, 18 miles off Dover, on Friday afternoon.

Dover Coastguard said the stricken 92m (302ft) vessel, with a crew of 14, had lost power and dropped anchor.

The injured were airlifted by RAF helicopter to Margate, to be treated at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in the town.

Lifeboats are still at the scene of the fire, and are assessing whether the remainder of the crew need to be taken off the ship.
