Shots have been fired at a house in Ballymena, County Antrim, in an early morning attack on Monday.
A man and woman were in the property at Dunfane Park when the attack took place at about 0300 GMT.
A PSNI spokesperson said that a windown in the property was badly damaged but no-one was injured.
A motive for the attack has not been established. Police would like anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
North Antrim MLA Declan O'Loan condemned the attack and said it was "surprising".
"Dunfane Park is a quiet, residential development of owner occupied houses and it is not something that you would expect to be happening there," he said.
