A man died in a house fire in Lancashire on New Year's Eve, the fire service has confirmed.
Crews were called to a bungalow in Tennyson Avenue, Thornton, at 2140 GMT on Friday.
The man, thought to be in his late 50s, was found at the front of the house, a fire service spokesman said.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Lancashire Police have started an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
The fire service spokesman said they were "keeping an open mind" about the possible cause.
