Two people have died after a blaze at a block of flats in south-east London.
Ambulance crews treated another four people after the fire broke out in Abinger Grove, Deptford.
Part of the 15th floor of the 16-storey block is alight. Ten fire engines and 50 firefighters were called to the scene at 1443 GMT.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) said two people had died and four others were treated by paramedics, one of whom was taken to hospital.
An LAS spokeswoman said: "Our staff treated a total of six patients on scene.
"Three patients were assessed but did not need hospital treatment and one patient - a woman - was taken to Lewisham Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
"Sadly two patients were confirmed dead at the scene despite extensive efforts to resuscitate them."
The London Fire Brigade said six people were rescued from the building. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
