Court of Arbitration for Sport(CAS)upheld FIFA's ban on Barcelona to sign new players in 2015 season
The CAS confirmed their decision this morning to uphold the FIFA sanction which prohibits the Catalan club from making any signings during the calender year, 2015. The FIFA ban came in April 2014 and an appeal was rejected in August 2014. They deemed that there was a continous breach of the regulations in the club's signing of foreign under-age players. A few weeks ago Barça club representatives were called to CAS headquarters in Lausanne where they argued that the irregularities were only of an administrative nature and have fully collaborated with the tribunals’ investigations.

Now Barcelona will have to wait till January transfer window of 2016 to make any new signings. But the Catalan club is allowed to renew expiring contracts of current players . Also they have been fined for the breach of regulations,about 375,000 euros.
Barcelona club reacted angrily after the CAS's rejection of their appeal came out.
