Mohali, April 10 -- The cheerleaders rated the Mohali crowd as the worst amongst all the centres. The crowd, in turn, is apparently leaving no stone unturned to confirm it.
What some mischievous elements have been up to is easy to guess if we take a look at the pains the franchisee has been forced to take to keep the cheerleaders safe, sound and dancing. To begin with, the cheerleaders performed on an open platform like in other centres.
Soon, the platform was covered with a net to keep them safe from the flying 'missiles'. And in a clear indication that the net too hasn't proved effective in keeping them out of harm's way, the organisers have now put a plastic sheet around the net.
"We had no choice. After we covered the platforms with nets, people started throwing coins and crushed ice at the girls.
So, we have put the sheets around it now. Hopefully, it will work," said a Kings XI official.
While the men are busy doing what they are doing, the women here are livid with the errant men. "It's really shameful.
They need to take a lesson in basic etiquette," said Harpriya Sarin from Panjab University.
