Margao, Apr 10 (PTI) Defending champions Churchill Brothers will try to take a revenge for the Federation Cup semifinal loss when they take on Lajong FC in a round 21 match of the I-League football at the Nehru Stadium here tomorrow. Churchill''s recent success in the AFC Cup and the 6-0 drubbing of JCT have send strong signals to the other title contenders that they are very much in the race.
The defending champions are seven points away from the table topper Mahindra United and Carlos Pereira-coached side will now try to bring consistency in their performance. Lajong, who are trying to avoid relegation, have been unbeaten for the last five matches and are now only one point above 13th placed Mumbai FC. So there is lot to be done in the remaining six matches to escape relegation.
