The Chandigarh Ball Badminton Association announced its team for participation in the 29th National Sub-Junior Ball Badminton Championship which will be held at Yamunanagar (Haryana) from April 17 to 20. Surinder Singh Thakur and Arti will accompany the team as coaches. Team: Boys: Suneet Singh, Deepak Rathee, Shivam, Prabhat, Kulwant, Deepak Sharma, Puneet, Samdish, Akhil, Nitin Chautala; Girls: Simran, Tabisha, Kirti, Rouza, Anika, Neha, Ishjeet, Isha and Mahak.
Golf camp from April 20An eight-day long EFTF golf camp will be conducted at Chandigarh Golf Club Academy from April 20. This programme will be conducted between 4pm - 5pm during these eight days. Non - members of the Chandigarh Golf Club are welcome to enroll in this programme which is specifically designed for teenagers and senior players aged from 13 - 35 years to learn together. It is for the first time in the history of Chandigarh Golf Club that such a camp is being organised looking at the interest amongst this age group. All areas of the game will be taught, including putting, chipping, pitching, bunker shots, long and short irons. Players who want to get enroll in the camp can contact Ajay Gujral at 9814356013.
Cricket tourney from todayHansraj Cricket Academy, Sector 6 is organising the First Tri City Panchkula Junior League Cricket Tournament for the age group 12-15 years under the aegis of Panchkula District Cricket Association at the academy premises from Wednesday. Participating teams are: Panchkula Fighters, Panchkula Challengers, Panchkula Royals.
