Kolkata, Apr 16 (PTI) Out of title race and struggling for a win, Mohun Bagan will take on Air India in their round 21 I-League encounter at Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Saltlake here tomorrow. For last season''s runners-up Mohun Bagan, it has been a tumultuous season that has seen three coaches with the latest being Biswajeet Bhattacharjee.
With dependable strikers Jose Ramirez Barreto and Edeh Chidi finding it tough, Mohun Bagan have struggled for full points. Mohun Bagan had a disappointing 1-1 draw against lowly-placed Salgaocar and now it''s high time for the green-and-maroon brigade to return to winning ways to improve their position.
Mohun Bagan have a couple of injury problems in Surkumar Singh and Marcos Pereira. While Surkumar has been ruled out because of a knee spasm, a final call on Marcos will be taken tomorrow.
The home side will also miss Rakesh Masih in the central defence even as Deepak Mondal will make a comeback after serving one-match suspension. On the other hand, Air India had a memorable win over East Bengal in their last outing and the Mumbai outfit will hope for a repeat even as the side will have a weak defence in absence of Peter Odafe (double yellow cards).
They also have injury concern to forward Mohammad Dada Nabeel and defender Harpreet Singh. Mohun Bagan are currently on sixth place with 26 points, while Air India (24) are ninth on the table.
