World and Olympic champion Lin Dan of China won his first Asian championship crown with a 21-17 21-15 win over compatriot Wang Zhengming on Sunday.
"My form has not been good. I didn't do well at the All England and Swiss Open and this gives me a boost," world number four Lin told reporters.
Second seed Lin was a strong favourite for the title in the absence of Malaysian world number one and all England champion Lee Chong Wei.
"I have never won the Asian championships so this is a first. My opponent Wang is young and good (and) I know he will get better," said Lin, who lost his All England crown when he went out in the quarter-finals to compatriot Bao Chunlai.
Qualifier Li Xuerui won the women's singles title by beating Liu Xin 21-13 18-21 21-19 in another all-Chinese final.
