With 45 points in his kitty, there wasn't any doubt what the outcome of the game would be. Puneet Dhiman, as expectedly, emerged winner in the 0-9 handicap category in the one-day Golf Medal Tournament sponsored by State Bank of India at Panchkula Golf Club on Sunday. Around 75 to 80 members participated in the event.
Meanwhile, Ajay Kanwar emerged champion in the 10-13 handicap category with 41 points. He was followed by Nobel Dhiman with 37 points. Similarly, in the 14-18 handicap category, Col RP Gulati (46) took the honours, while GD Sharma (43) trailed him for the second spot. Then in the 19-24 handicap category, Ravi Verma took the first spot with 46 points followed by Dr Satish Chakravarti (43). PC Sharma was adjudged winner of the bank's special prize as he scored 37 points. Gurjit Singh hit the longest drive at 295 yards to claim the longest drive award, while nearest to pin award went to Dr Sanjay Malik.
