* Inter have not beaten Barcelona at the San Siro in four previous attempts and Inter have failed to score against Barca in their last four meetings, including two this season in the group stage. Inter have never reached a CL final and last won the European Cup back in 1965.
* Inter have used 23 players in this season's competition and only three of them have been Italians, Mario Balotelli, Marco Materazzi and Davide Santon and those have all been used mainly as substitutes. Balotelli has started two games, Materazzi one and Santon none.
