'Tendulkar's call to play or not'

Mumbai: Mumbai Indians coach Robin Singh said that Tendulkar himself has to take a final call tomorrow. "We will know about his injury tomorrow. He is coming but I don't think he will practice (today). It's up to him. I think he is very keen on playing. It is his call again," said Robin. "(I) can't tell you the exact state of his injury. It is on the last two fingers. We have done very well and so it is really his call. The decision is his. I can't ask him to play.

Having said that we need to play good cricket on Sunday," said Badrinath.

This is the time a batsman starts peaking but I am not. I am working hard and, the moment I break my barrier, I will be back," he said.

"You betcha we can," Australian coach Tim Nielsen said. "Especially against Bangladesh in Barbados on May 5. "Our past experience there shows the ball does carry and bounce a bit," Nielsen said.

Kolkata: The historic 2001 Eden Test win over the mighty Australia prolonged his career as the India coach, fells John Wright. "When in Kolkata, I always remember the amazing 2001 Test against Australia," Wright said. "From a shorter one, it made my stint longer. The way Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman batted (in the epic Test), I can never forget the match. The best part was the crowd, they were just unbelievable. It was an amazing Test match," Wright said.

    Pak leave for Caribbean

Karachi: Pakistan's Twenty20 squad on Saturday left for the West Indies to defend their World Cup title with captain Shahid Afridi insisting that his team has the ability to overcome recent upheavals and clinch the trophy. "It is going to be a tough tournament and I have told the players to forget about the past events as this is the best opportunity for them to make amends and win back the confidence of the people," Afridi said.
