    Sudhakar, Ajay fashion Hi-Sky win in Ram Swaroop final

    A 123-run second wicket partnership between Sudhakar Singh (61 not out) and Ajay Gupta (66) paved the way for an eigth wicket victory for Hi-Sky Sports Club against Unique Sporting in the final of the 2nd Sri Ram Swaroop Memorial Prize Money Cricket Tournament, in Lucknow on Thursday. While Sudhakar's unbeaten 61 came off 46 balls which included five hits to the fence and three lofty sixes, Ajay's 66 came off 43 balls which included nine boundaries and two sixes. The prize distribution function was held later in the day. Hi-Sky players Deepak Srivastava, Sudhakar Singh and Manish Mishra were declared 'Best Bowler', 'Best Batsman' and 'Best All-rounder', respectively.     'Babu' Society win'Babu' Society trainees defeated Stadium Trainees team by 3-0 in the final of a district level hockey tournament organised at KD Singh 'Babu' Stadium, Lucknow. Dodging defenders, Vijay broke the ice in the 20th minute. Mukesh Ram made no mistake in capitalising on a penalty-corner awarded to the team just nine minutes later to make the half-time score 2-0. Deepak Yadav netted a goal in the 11th minute to make the score 3-0 which was maintained till the final moments of the play. The two-day tournament was organised by 'Lucknow Khel Samiti'.

    Sudhir, DK Singh shineAll-round efforts by Sudhir Kumar Awasthi (33 runs; 4 for 29) and DK Singh (38 not out; 2 for 22) went a long way as Central Zone defeated North East Zone by 44 runs in their league match of the 5th All India Prasar Bharti Cricket Tournament held at Chowk Stadium, Lucknow on Thursday. In another league match of the same tourney played at Das Stadium, North Zone beat East Zone by 29 runs. Both Central Zone and North Zone have entered the semi-finals of the tournament, being organised by Doordarshan Cricket Club, Lucknow.
