LeBron James shook off a painful elbow strain to score 38 points and jump start the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 124-95 road win over the Boston Celtics in the NBA playoffs on Friday.

James appeared unfazed by a bruised bone and the right elbow strain that had caused consternation for Cleveland fans to score 21 of his points in the first quarter as the Cavaliers stormed to a 36-17 lead, which they extended to 65-43 by halftime.

The victory marks the first postseason win by the Cavaliers in Boston since 1992, and allows the Cavaliers to regain home-court advantage in the Eastern Conference semi-final.

The Cavaliers received offensive contributions from throughout their roster as all five starters scored in double figures, including 20 from Antawn Jamison.

Kevin Garnett, nursing a sore foot, led the Celtics in scoring with 19 points while Rajon Rondo added 18.
