Wednesday saw the final day of matches of the 1st division of the Peninsula Land Pune football league, organised by the Pune district football association and being played at the Range Hills Ground, Khadki.
In the first match of the day, Central Armoured Fighting Vehicle Depot (CAFVD) held Ram Sporting to a tame goalless draw. CAFVD started well and launched some attacks on opposition goal in the first half but could not break the
deadlock. Ram Sporting launched some late pressure but did not have any luck infront of goal. In the second match of the day, Phoenix defeated Khadki Blues 1-0 with Amol Kulkarni scoring the lone goal of the match in the 31st minute. The top two teams from the various groups have qualified for the super league. The top three teams from the super league will be promoted to the super division.
The bottom team from each group will have a playoff, the loser of which will be relegated into the second division. In group A, Range Hills YB and Pune FC 'B' have qualified for the super league while Sky hawks were the bottom team. In Group b, KP XI 'A' and Khadki Blues have qualified while Ultimate Blues are the bottom team.
In group C, Rahul SC and Shivajians have qualified while Dynamite remained the bottom team. In group D, Aryans 'A' and Giantz qualified while NDA YC remained the bottom club. The super league for the first division will start fromJune 6.
