Anupreet Sandhu claimed the top spot in the 5-7 years category in the girls' freestyle event in the swimming competition held at Chandigarh Club on Saturday. Matangini claimed the second spot. In the 7-9 years category in the freestyle event, Har****a Jain claimed the top spot while in the 9-12 years category, the top spot was claimed by Soumya Nayyar. In the back stroke event in the same category, Khushi claimed the top spot while the Soumya Nayyar claimed the second spot.
Sidhand bowls YPS to winA six-wicket haul by Sidhand (6 for 3) propelled Yadvindra Public School to an emphatic six-wicket win over DAV Public School, Sector 15 in a league match of the First Hot Weather u-14 Cricket Tournament on Saturday. DAV Public School, Sector 15 won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, they were bundled out for a total of 72 runs in 17.2 overs. In the second match of the day, MCA, Mohali scored a 17-run win over Patiala Club. In the third match of the day, Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 scored a six-wicket win over DAV Public School, Sector 15.
