Webb says WC final left him 'physically and emotionally drained'

    Tue, Jul 13 10:05 PM

London, July 13 (ANI): Referee Howard Webb has admitted that the World Cup final left him 'physically and emotionally drained'.

"It was the most difficult two hours of my career. I am physically and emotionally drained but FIFA have been very supportive - not just about the final but our performances throughout the whole tournament," The Sun quoted him, as saying.IFA president Sepp Blatter said: "In football we have to live with the errors of players and referees. It's not up to me to judge the performances of the officials. I can only say it was a very hard task that the officials had. It was not easy, really not easy and they were really not helped in this task.

The final was not exactly what I expected in terms of fair play. But the side that played football won." (ANI)
