Mumbai, Jul 15 (PTI) A tug-of-war seems to be on the cards between the BCCI and suspended Indian Premier League Chairman Lalit Modi on whether the latter should personally be present at tomorrow''s Disciplinary Committee meeting of the Board hearing charges against him. "Mr Modi is abroad and he would be represented by his duly authorised representative to plead to the requisition and reconstitution of the Disciplinary Committee," Modi''s attorney and representative Mehmood Abdi told PTI. However, BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty said that the suspended IPL Chairman should present himself in front of the panel.
"He (Modi) has to appear personally before the Disciplinary Committee," Shetty said after Modi''s petition demanding reconstitution of the panel was rejected by the Bombay High Court today. (More) PTI SSR RSY DB.
