The team of Manchester Academy defeated Square Chargers by six wickets in their league match of St. Ann's Friendship Cup at Northern Railway Stadium, Lucknow on Friday.
Brief Scores: Square Chargers: 89 all out in 21.3 Overs ( Kunal Singh 18, Siddharth Chandra 16; Sanjeet Singh 4 for 3, M Shahrukh 2 for 8); Manchester Academy: 90 for four in 15.5 overs ( Sumit Trivedi 32, Abhishek 17; Nagendra 2 for 24, Zeeshan 1 for 10).
Football league
GBC team defeated Chandra Football Club by 8-1 in their league match of the Vodafone District Football League being held at Dilkusha grounds, Lucknow. The goal scorers on behalf of the victors were Prakash Sakya (3 goals), Rajesh Chetri (2 goals), Tirlok (1 goal), Raj Kumar (1 goal) and Rajesh Rai (1 goal). The consolation goal on behalf of Chandra Football Club was scored by forward Ravi Thapa.
