Already in dire straits after Sri Lanka scythed through the Team India top order, the 5th day did not start well at all for the visitors as the tail too refused to wag.
Skipper MS Dhoni was not able to make his wicket count and Harbhajan was not any better either as both fell without getting into double figures.
The wreckers again were the 2 Ms, Muralitharan and Malinga.

India were teetering at 202/7 (68.2 Ovs) and were still staring at an innings defeat.
The next to fall was Mithun. He was lbw to Malinga for 25 and became yet another Indian batsmen who got out after having settled down.
India's beacon of hope, Laxman was batting on 34. but he was left with scant batting back in the pavilion to hold the other end up.
The Mithun-Laxman partnership has ensured that India don't lose by an innings.
India are 246/8 (81.3 Ovs).
