    West Central Railway emerge champions

    Kolkata, Jul 22 (PTI) Debutant Pushpinder Kumar remained unbeaten to enable West Central Railway clinch the title in the All-India Railways Cuesports Championship at B C Roy Institute, Sealdah here today. In the final, Pushpinder thrashed veteran Ashok Shandilya of Central Railway 2-0 to give West Central a strong start.

    After the start, captain and national pool coach Mukesh Rehani used his experience to beat Manish Jain 2-1 and settled the issue. In the last four against Eastern Railway, Pushpinder beat S Ahmed, while Rehani beat Manish Jain with identical scores of 2-0.

    Eastern Railway beat Western Railway in the third place play-off to retain their last year''s position.
