    Chirag United SC secures 1-0 win over Calcutta Port Trust

    Kolkata, Sept 15 (PTI) Chirag United SC secured a 1-0 win over Calcutta Port Trust in a Calcutta Football League Premier Division match at Yuba Bharati Krirangan (YBK) in Salt Lake here today. Skipper Joshimar scored the all-important goal in the 70th minute as Chirag United registered their third win to log 10 points from from five matches.

    In their last match, Chirag held Mohun Bagan 2-2 that came after their 0-1 upset to Southern Samity. Aryan Club lead the standings with 14 points from six matches, even as third-placed East Bengal are the team to beat with four wins on the trot.

    East Bengal will meet Peerless SC in their fifth match tomorrow.
