Karachi, Oct 1 (PTI) Pakistan government has refused to give a NOC (No Objection Certificates) to the country''s billiards and snooker association to hire an Indian coach to train the national players for the Asian Games and next year''s World Cup in Kenya. A top official of the PBSA today confirmed that the Pakistan Sports Board had informed that the Ministry of Sports and Interior had not given clearance for hiring Indian coach Sanjay Sawant.
"It is pretty disappointing because we were keen to have him train our players for these two major events. We had managed to hire him on a reasonable fee as our association is not very strong financially," said Alamgir Sheikh, PBSA president.
He said the PBSA had sent a request to the PSB last month asking for a NOC to hire the internationally reputed coach. "But today we have been informed by the PSB that he (Sawant) has not been given clearance by the related Ministry," Sheikh said.
