Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma on Sunday announced cash rewards for all the Indian medal winners in the Commonwealth Games, including Rs 7.5 lakh for gold.
A silver medallist will get Rs five lakh and bronze Rs 3.5 lakh.
Sharma said the rewards were being announced for acknowledging the good work done by the participants and to encourage budding youngsters.
