Sri Guru Gobind Singh College claimed the Panjab University Badminton (Men) Championship by beating Panjab University Campus by 3-1 in the final played at the PU Gymnasium Hall on Monday.
Saurav opened the lead for SGGS when he defeated Sunil 21-8, 21-19. International player Oscar Bansal restored parity for PU Campus by outplaying Aman 21-4, 21-11. Later, Saurav and Deepak prevailed over the PU Campus pair of Oscar Bansal and Sunil to win the match by 23-21, 21-10. In the singles category, Deepak accounted for Navjot by 21-9, 21-11 to give their team title. Meanwhile, PU Campus, Chandigarh, DAV College, Chandigarh and PG Government College, Sector 11, Chandigarh got second, third and fourth positions, respectively.

Final: SGGS College bt P.U. Campus 3-1 (Saurav bt Sunil 21-8, 21-19, Aman lost to Oscar Bansal 4-21, 11-21, Saurav & Deepak bt Oscar & Sunil 23-21, 21-10, Deepak bt Navjot 21-9, 21-11).
