    Singapore's Lim still hopeful of buying Liverpool

    Enlarge Photo An copy of the Champions League trophy stands on top of a gate outside Liverpool's... Singapore businessman Peter Lim believes the situation surrounding the sale of Liverpool Football club is unclear and he remains an interested bidder, a spokesman for him said on Thursday.

    "The situation is in a flux, Peter is monitoring the latest developments. He remains interested in buying Liverpool Football Club," the spokesman said.

    Liverpool's board has resolved to complete the sale of the Premier League club to rival bidder New England Sports Ventures, but owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett obtained a temporary restraining order from a Texas court to stop the deal.
