World number one Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from next week's Paris Masters for medical reasons, tournament organisers said on Friday.The organisers did not give any further details but said the Spaniard would soon release a statement or hold a news conference.
Nadal reached the semi-finals of the Paris event last year. He was booed when he pulled out injured during his quarter-final match in 2008.
A spokesman for Nadal said the French Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open champion was still travelling to Paris.
