    Duo draw India level

    Third One Day International
    Goa
    Sri Lanka 230-8 Innings Complete (R P Arnold 66 no, Z Khan 5-42) v India 233-5 (M S Dhoni 67 no, R Dravid 66)
India beat Sri Lanka by 5 wkts

Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Dhoni led India to a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Goa to level the series at 1-1.

After Sri Lanka's tight victory and the opening-match wash-out, the four-match series is now all resting on the final match after the hosts squared the series up.

Left-arm seamer Zaheer Khan claimed his first five-wicket haul in one-dayers as Sri Lanka were restricted to 230-8 after choosing to bat first, with only Russel Arnold passing 50.

India were wobbling at 94-4 in their response, but skipper Dravid and wicketkeeper Dhoni came in to form what would be a match-winning partnership, with India eventually making 233-5 to win by five wickets with three-and-a-half overs left.

Khan set up the victory though as he tore through the Sri Lankan batting line-up, with superb figures of 5-42 from his allotted ten overs.

Upul Tharanga, Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara were all ripped out early by Khan to leave Sri Lanka floundering on 6-3.

Arnold was the real rock of the innings and, with Marvan Atapattu and Tillakaratne Dilshan both supporting with 42 each, his 66 not out dragged the tourists up to 230-8 after their 50 overs.

Indian opener Virender Sehwag again failed as he was quickly out for 12, while Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh also came and went without too much trouble.

When Sourav Ganguly was dismissed two runs away from his half century India were in trouble at 94-4, but Dhoni and Dravid dug in well.

Skipper Dravid became the sixth batsman to score 10,000 one-day runs when compiling his 77th ODI fifty as he and Dhoni put on an entertaining 133-run partnership for the fifth wicket from just 139 balls.

Dravid was unluckily run out for 66, with India just four runs short of victory, when Dhoni's straight drive hit leg-spinner Malinga Bandara's hands and crashed onto the stumps.

Dinesh Karthik came in to stroke the winning four, but Dhoni was the star with his unbeaten 67 an unusually calm innings with just four boundaries, but it was a match-winning effort.

With the series now tied at 1-1, the crucial final match will be played in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.
