Integral Coach Factory (ICF) and Tamil Nadu Police (TNP) played out a scrappy 1-1 draw in a St. Joseph's-Chennai Football Association senior division league match at the Nehru Stadium on Tuesday.
ICF has 15 points from nine matches and, for all practical reasons, is not a contender for the title.
TNP, with 14 points from seven matches harbours hopes.
ICF held the upper hand in the first session with a couple of nice forays. Raegan did well to turn around to unleash a nice left-footer that sailed over the post. Soon, Suresh Kumar's half-volley on-the-run went straight to goalkeeper Agastin.
ICF went ahead in the 46th minute when Raegan netted home a headed pass from Fredy. The equaliser emerged in the 74t{+h} minute.
Defensive lapse
A defensive lapse saw Sathish Kumar convert a fine pass from the middle by Kumaran.
Earlier in a first division match, RBI defeated Madras Eagles 2-0 with goals from Mathivanan and Kannan.
