Chennai, Apr 25 (PTI) Unseeded Indian players Vijay Kannan, N Prashanth and seventh seed Virali Murugesan progressed to the second round of the Chennai ITF Men''s Futures tennis championship here today.
Prasanth was impressive in his comeback trail after losing the first game tie-breaker to German Mark Alexander Kepler 6-7 (3) 6-2 6-0, while Murugesan (world ranked 555) beat Korean Suk-Young Jeomng 6-3, 6-1. Vijay Kannan had an easy time against Thai direct entrant Siriluvethai Wattana to win it 6-4 6-1.
