Mumbai, May 16 (PTI) Second seed Kunal Anand of Delhi helped himself to a double crown in the Khar Gymkhana All India Men''s Open tennis tournament here.
Anand won the singles title after top seed Nitin Kirtane of Maharashtra retired, feeling unwell with the score at 1-6, 6-4, 3-0.
Earlier, Anand had combined with Aditya Tewari to beat Kirtane and Saurabh Patil 6-1, 4-6, 10-7 in a thrilling final to add the doubles title.
Results (Finals): Singles: 2-Kunal Anand (Del) bt 1-Nitin Kirtane (Mah) 1-6, 6-4, 3-0 retd. Doubles: Kunal Anand/Aditya Tewari bt Nitin Kirtane/Saurabh Patil 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.
