London, May 18 (ANI): England fast bowler Tim Bresnan is likely to miss the test series against Sri Lanka after suffering a torn calf muscle.
The injury is a recurrence of one Bresnan first suffered during the one-day series against Australia this year.
"A rehabilitation and recovery programme will be established in the coming days following further medical assessment," the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said a statement.
The three-test series against Sri Lanka begins in Cardiff on May 26, stuff.co.nz reports. (ANI)
