COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Veteran batsman Sanath Jayasuriya says he will quit international cricket midway through the upcoming limited-over series against England.
Jayasuriya's announcement Thursday comes just hours after Sri Lankan selectors picked the 444-match veteran for the only Twenty20 match and five limited-overs matches starting June 25.
But the batsman says he will only play a match each from both versions and end a nearly 22-year international career.
