Montreal (Canada), June 10 (PTI) Force India''s Paul di Resta was the eighth fastest while test driver Nico H�lkenberg finished 10th at the chaotic free practice sessions ahead of Sunday''s Canadian Grand Prix, here today.
Scottish driver di Resta showed a lot of promise recording a timing of 1min 17.294s, ahead of Nick Heidfeld (1:17.445) of Lotus-Renault and teammate Hulkenberg, who clocked 1min 17.549s.
Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan of Hispania clocked 1:20.839 to finish at the bottom of the table at 24th position.
However, the practice session proved to be a forgettable affair for defending drivers'' world champion Sebastian Vettel who crashed in his Red Bull just half an hour into the race and had to settle for a 16th-place finish.
Force India''s best result of the season came in the Monaco Grand Prix in which Adrian Sutil finished seventh, earning eight points for his team, which had returned empty handed in the last four races.
Sutil had grabbed two points in Australian Grand Prix in March, while di Resta earned one point each in Australia and Malaysian Grand Prix.
