Auckland, July 21(ANI): New Zealand cricket umpire Tony Hill says that he has no problem being proved wrong by the Umpire Decision Review System (UDRS) provided that the correct decision is reached.
"I can see no reason why you can be sitting in your lounge at home and can see I'm wrong when I'd much rather have the decision right and get on with the game," Stuff.co.nz quoted Hill, as saying.
"I also find that the players tend to get on a hell of a lot better with each other out on the paddock when UDRS is on because the little niggles that can occur when a mistake's made, they're taken out of the game and that's brilliant," he added.
The 60-year-old further said that the UDRS has been a "magnificent" concept and although not absolutely perfect, still improved the percentages for the umpires.
"I think that the concept is brilliant, there's still bits of tweaking [required] to get everything right, but I'd rather have that out there, I think, than not," Hill said. (ANI)
