Kolkata, Oct 28: Seasoned English spinner Graeme Swann today stated that the T20 is future ODI cricket.
Interacting with media here, a day before England takes on India in the solitary T20 at Eden Gardens, the newly-appointed England T20 captain said,'' In my opinion T20 is the future One day cricket and was looking forwad to the time when every tour has three-match T20 series.'' Replying to a query on his relationship with veteran batsman Kevin Petersen in wake of his crticism about the former England capatain in his recently-released book, the english spinner said,'' My relatioship with KP is just the same.'' On whether his assesment on KP's ledership skill distracted the team, he said ''Our performace on the field had nothing to do with what I wrote about Kevin Pietersen in my book.'' ''The reason we lost the one-day series 0-5 to India is because we've been outplayed in conditions which suit the home team. No excuses, we've been hammered,'' he added.
Swan said he was dissapointed with his performance in the ODI series and looking forward to putting up a good show in the T20.
He also admitted that he recieved death threat on a social networking site after England surrendered meekly in the last ODI and were demolished 0-5 by India in the recently concluded ODI series.
