Subroto Cup: Bad day for Delhi
GBBS School (New Delhi) thumped Don Bosco High School (Goa) 4-0 on the second day of the 53rd edition of the Subroto Cup here on Tuesday.
GBBS were spearheaded by their striker Rahul (7th, 32nd, 42nd) who scored the first hat-trick of this year’s tournament. However, it was not a good day for Delhi teams as both Air Force Bal Bharti and Air Force School, New Delhi lost their respective matches.
Bal Bharti lost 1-2 to Tyndale Bisco School (Srinagar). Ifam Majeed (13th), Abdul Hanamir (25th) scored for the winners while Jayant (46th) reduced the margin for Bal Bharti. Air Force School, Delhi were blanked 0-2 by Piloo Mody High School of Gujarat with Vipul (11th) and Ajit Balsingh (22nd) finding the net.
North Eastern English School (Manipur) thrashed New Sunrise (Haryana) 3-1. Thangam Langkhan (11th), Md Shahruck (44th) and H Telheiba (49th) scored for the Manipur outfit while Naresh (43rd) scored for the team.
