French Open 2014-Rafael Nadal beat Novak Djokovic to become 9th time champion ever
It was full house at Roland Garros, Paris when sun was at full beam and temperature rose to 28 degrees. But that didnt affect the fans to support their favourite, where Djokovic had much of the applause i think. Novak seeking his first French Open title to complete the Grand Slam career and Rafa his 9th, match was expected to rise to high level. In the end it was Nadal who held the nerves to lift ever tennis player's dream trophy.

Nadal retains his world no.1 ranking and Djokovic 2nd where it could been the later at the top if he was winner. Nadal is now 3 more titles behind Federer for most grand slam title record, now level with legend Pete Sampras.
