Indian board to honour Azharuddin

The Indian cricket board has defended plans to honour disgraced former captain Mohammad Azharuddin at a special ceremony next month.
The 43-year-old was banned for life for match-fixing in 2000 but will join other ex-captains and current skipper Rahul Dravid at the event in Mumbai.

"Azharuddin's name is in the list," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said.

i agree man...i mean aside from that incident in 2000...he was an brilliant player and a fair leader. growing up he was one of my heroes in cricket. i appreciate the decision
