How do I unzip .exe files

Someone please help me How do I unzip .rar files, do I need to have some kinda software or stuff like that. If yes, could you guys please give me the link. Hope you guys will help me. Thanks very much in Advance What should I do to it inorder to make it a thing. If you dont know what I mean, I'll give an example, I downloaded a Biju comedy and some other stuff and they were all in .rar format and I was not able to do anything with it. What should I do............

What u mean by unzip .exe file actually if its .exe its not compressed ..its an executable file and when u click it ,it will get executed....and if u want to edit it ,it wont be in a readable form,u can open it using any of the HEX editor avaiable but i don think it will help in making some changes

To unzip a file u need software to extract the rar file to more files.....plzzz install this Winrar software so u can unrar the rar files...i think u got it ...for more help Pm me

Your qestion before you edit your post was about how to unzip a .exe file. that's why tbinish gave you that answer. But your post become clear when u edit. I think you have got and solved your problem by following george's answer.
