@ Sythmyster You are incorrect in several aspects
Low power cpus from Intel have existed before Apple "Licensed" the ARM architecture (Pentium M does that ring a bell for ya,, and yes tablets where getting about 4 hours from those cpus back then.)
While yes early tablets where expensive, you can get a decent tablet today for less than $800 and thats with a full operating sytem, not the cut up version of MAC OSX.
Also, if i remember correctly, doesnt the apple Tablet requires a diffrent sku for 3G compatibility, yea it does, whereas a tablet with a usb 3g modem will suffice.
And, um MIcrosoft came out with a touch os long before even apple had the remote idea of a touch os eg: WINDOWS XP TABLET PC EDITION 2002, 2005.
Also, what GPU does the Ipad have? who knows? whereas modern day tablets can be specd with a variety of gpus.
So, yes the ipad is a novel idea and will indeed drive adoption in fields such as medicine, real estate et all, but windows based tablets arent as horrid as your ifanboy comment makes it out to be. Next time check your facts before you type.
Prime example: Lenovos INTEL ATOM 9 inch monitor tablet, $500.00 how about that?
