After we took a look at a href=http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2013/09/julienne-more/this knife/a back in the October issue of WIRED, we gave it to Mark Evan and Chris Soria at a href=http://www.maniacpumpkincarvers.com/Maniac Pumpkin Carvers/a and had them work the force on a weak-willed pumpkin. Although the Sora Ultimate wasn’t their preferred tool — they called it the “Jar Jar Binks” of pumpkin carving — they were able to use it to carve at least part of a huge jack-o’-lantern. After switching to more detail-friendly blades, the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers created a scary-looking visage of Darth Sidious, better known as the Galactic Empire’s head honcho — a guy not to be trifled with.
