Gold touches all time high, Rs 15,800 for a sovereign

Kochi: Crossing all records, the gold price touched an all time high with a sovereign crossing Rs 15,800. Only Rs 200 is needed to touch Rs 16000. The gold crossed Rs 15,000 per sovereign last November. The price for a gram is Rs 1975. The gold price began to escalate with anti-government protests in Arab countries, including Libya. The price of crude oil is on the rise due to ongoing unrest in Arab countries. It is speculated that with increase in oil prices, gold price would also record new heights.
