Winning at that age is a beauty

Pop diva Jennifer Lopez has beaten off competition from younger beauties such as Beyonce Knowles and Anne Hathaway to be named the World's Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine.

The 41-year-old singer-actor said she was “honoured” by the title and proud she had won it at her age, reported People online.

“I feel happy and proud. Proud that I'm not 25,” said the mother-of-two.

Ms. Lopez, who is a judge on American Idol, said she felt at her best when at home with her family — husband Marc Anthony and three-year-old twins Max and Emme.

“Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It's so much better,” said Ms. Lopez.

The Bronx native has built a tremendous career since appearing as an extra in the 90's comedy show In Living Colour. In addition to her albums and movies, she has expanded her brand to include fragrances, a clothing line and her own production company.

Ms. Lopez is joined on the honour roll by Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Hudson, among others.
