    World News - Fifth charge over riot car deaths

    21 August 2011 Last updated at 14:40 ET A 28-year-old man has been charged over the deaths of three men killed during recent rioting in Birmingham.

    Haroon Jahan, 21, and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31, died after being hit by a car on Dudley Road, in Winson Green on 10 August.

    Liam Young, from Winson Green, was detained on Saturday on suspicion of murder and charged on Sunday with perverting the course of justice.

    He was remanded to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Monday.

    The 28-year-old is the fifth man to be charged over the killings.

    Four other men - Ian Beckford, 30, from Quinton; Joshua Donald, 26, of Kelsall Croft, Ladywood; Adam King, 23, of no fixed address and a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with murder.

    A 33-year-old arrested by police on Friday was released on police bail on Saturday.

    Three other males - aged 17, 23, and 32 - have also been arrested and bailed pending further inquiries.

    Nine men have so far been arrested by police investigating the killings.
