A. R. Rahman show in Jeddah
Oscar-winning Indian music composer A. R. Rahman will perform in Jeddah in mid-January, said organizers.
Rahman has won four National Film Awards in India. In 2008, he won a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and two Oscars for the film “Slumdog Millionaire.”
India Forum, a voluntary group, which runs under the patronage of the Consulate General of India-Jeddah, is organizing the cultural evening in the auditorium of International Indian School, Jeddah.
Around 3,000 music lovers are expected to enjoy the musical extravaganza in which other leading musicians, singers and comedians will also perform.
Prominent among them are: Master Azmat Hussain, winner of “Sa Re Ga Ma Little Champs” TV show, Sugandha Mishra, TV artist, singer and comedian, N.C. Karunya, Indian Idol 2 runner-up and Rehman Khan, a popular comedian of the “Comedy Circus” fame.
