How can acne breakouts be avoided?

For those with mild-to-moderate acne, there are simple steps you can take to reduce your chances of getting acne, including: 1. Eating a balanced diet. A proper diet of fresh vegetables, fruits, and grains can contribute to healthy skin. If you notice acne breakouts occurring after eating certain foods, avoid those foods, and replace them with something else. 2. Keeping your face clean. Wash your face regularly 2-3 times a day to remove excess oil from your skin. Cleanse your skin lightly with a mild cleanser to keep from further irritating your skin and then pat it dry. 3. Keeping your hair off your face so that the hair?s natural oils don?t collect on your skin. 4. Drinking plenty of water to help to cleanse your body, removing the excess bacteria and waste. 5. Using natural hypo-allergenic cosmetics or avoiding cosmetics or lotions completely to help skin stay clean. If you do use cosmetics, remove it and wash your face well before going to sleep. 7. Do not touch your acne or your face. This will only help to spread the oil and bacteria and it might also create scarring. 10. Exercise regularly to improve circulation. This can contribute to healthy skin.
