    Acupressure

    Acupressure, an
oriental therapy, has been in use for more than 5,000 years. In this
therapy, specific points on the skin are methodically pressed by the
finger tips or other suitable appliances to favourably influence the
internal organs of the body and thereby eradicate diseases.
    Besides
raising body immunity, acupressure can even help treat emergencies like
sudden fainting, convulsions, cardiac/respiratory arrest, etc. It is
useful in painful conditions like arthritis, headaches, toothaches, and
in paralytic cases, too. Acupressure can achieve a calming and
tranquillising effect through the sedative points and is useful in the
treatment of insomnia, anxiety, epilepsy, addiction and behavioural
    problems. Acute asthma attacks
can often be relieved through specific acupressure points.
